Chapter 36 (Personalized Career Planning and Guidance - PCPG)
Are you in need of a guide to help lead you? Chapter 36 lets you explore your abilities and interests to help you onto the correct path of educational success and/or employment by providing:
Academic and adjustment counseling;
Assessment and exploration of interests and aptitudes;
Assistance in identifying educational goals and training facilities;
Assistance determining employment goals;
Assistance with change in major field of study;
Discussion of impact of grades and/or assistance identifying resources to resolve academic probation;
Goal mapping activities and coaching;
Resume making tips; and
VA benefits coaching.
Eligibility
You must meet at least one of the following situations:
Active Duty/Veterans:
Have eligibility for a GI Bill or Veterans Readiness and Employment (VR&E);
Separated from Active Duty, under conditions other than dishonorable not more than 1 year ago; or
Within 6 months of separation from Active Duty and are expected to receive a discharge under conditions other than dishonorable.
Dependent:
Using a parent or spouse’s VA GI Bill.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Use of Chapter 35 (Dependents’ Educational Assistance - DEA) does NOT qualify someone to use this program.
